This series explores the various versions of the self.  What does it mean to grow up Puerto Rican in the United States and how has it impacted how I see myself and how others perceive me? What does it mean to be a father of first generation Americans who come from a mix of cultures and ethnicities? How do I teach them what it means to be from here but not from here at the same time? How do I explain race when our race is "other?" 

I am a Transcultural Mutt and my descendants are the future of this nation.
